As part of an environmental initiative to enhance campus greenery, the University of Garmian organized a large-scale tree planting campaign on Tuesday, May 29, 2025. The event took place near the university’s third gate and was attended by Professor Dr. Arass F. Zainal, President of the University.

During the campaign, 200 trees were planted across the campus, with support from environmental activists and the Rzgari District Municipality. The event also saw the participation of government officials, political party representatives, and environmental activists, highlighting the importance of community collaboration in environmental preservation.

The campaign was organized in coordination with the Department of Gardens at the University Presidency. Assistant Lecturer Sarkawt Hama Khurshed, Director of the Department, expressed his gratitude to all the partners and participants for their contributions to the success of the initiative.
